UNC Wellness Center at Meadowmont

The UNC Hospital's Wellness Center at Meadowmont was conceived to focus on the total wellness of its clients, not exclusively exercise. The highly articulated, modern exterior, with its large sections of glazing, reinforces these goals by providing an abundance of natural light and a physical connection to the outdoors. Energizing colors and the dynamic use of arcs and curves enhance the feeling of movement and contribute to well-being of the body and mind. The building contains physical therapy and occupational therapy clinics, massage therapy clinics, nutrition clinics and a demonstration kitchen. The facility is located in a non-traditional neighborhood, easily accessible by a network of trails and greenways, encouraging walking and bike riding to the complex.
