In a response to community needs, the Orange County Department on Aging chose to relocate the Central Orange Senior Center to the Triangle Sportsplex in an ambitious expansion and renovation project. Sharing site facilities, like parking and the vehicular drop-off, while maintaining separate identities was a design challenge. Increasing the density and activity on the site allows the broadening of programs and services, while also encouraging active and vital lifestyles for all the citizens of Orange County.
